This summer, a new motion picture, “Nancy Drew”, brings the timeless heroine to Los Angeles, where she is faced with a fresh set of challenges and her most baffling case yet. The movie opens June 15th.

Clue Suspects is the first ever Clue game that can be enjoyed by just one player. Clue Suspects is a logic puzzle, with each of the 60 puzzles in the game becoming progressively more challenging. Clue Suspects comes with a plastic mansion board, and includes 12 plastic suspect pieces (including several new characters), and 60 mind-boggling mysteries to be solved.

JohnnyBDesign.com creates entertaining point-and-click games that you can play online in a web browser (requires Macromedia Flash) or as stand-alone downloads for both Mac and PC. There are currently two games available, both starring Detective Jack French.

Famous teen detective Nancy Drew makes her debut on the Nintendo DS in the forthcoming Nancy Drew and The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park, due out later in 2007. The plot centers around the search for missing theme park owner, and billionaire, Thaddeus Belmont.

Mr Reach in The Mouth Of Mystery is an advergame starring a toothbrush commercial character who must travel around the world to find his missing friend, using his collection of Reach products to polish tarnished clues, reach out-of-the-way items, and unlock hidden enclaves. Simple and cute.

Big Fish Games, publisher of the Mystery Case Files games, is auctioning off an appearance in the next episode of their popular franchise. All proceeds go to Child’s Play, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children by supplying toys and games to hospitals worldwide.

As this is the very first post on the Mystery Game News blog, this is probably a good time to talk a little bit about what this site is about, and what I hope to accomplish. Mystery Game Central aims to be the world’s most comprehensive resource for mystery game enthusiasts.
