Julie Smith

Julie Smith is an American mystery writer, the author of numerous novels and short stories. She received the 1991 Edgar Award for Best Novel for her sixth book, New Orleans Mourning (1990). Smith worked as a journalist for the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Santa Barbara News-Press. She is currently a freelance writer, and her first novel was published in 1982.
